Objective: Explain the properties of a compound by creating an infographic and comparing/contrasting the selected compounds properties with a different compound made of the same elements.

An infographic is a visual image used to represent data or information.
An infographic is a quick and visually interesting way to learn about a topic without tons of heavy reading!
Infographics are 30 times more likely to be read than heavy text because you are visually drawn to it!

8. What makes a great infographic?
The Story – what is the story you want your infographic to tell, what do you want people to learn?
Information & Data – accurate information from credible sources, but not an overwhelming amount of text – get to the point!
Graphics – images, graphs, charts that compliment and add support to your topic without being overwhelming. Find a balance between the amount of text and graphics you use.
Design & Visual Appeal – colors, fonts, the size of the different components that make up your overall image. The design must allow the eye to flow easily from one piece of information to the next.
Citations – cite your information to make your infographic credible because the purpose is to be shared with others!
