It’s more common in adult and elderly people than children. It presents 25-30% of leukemias

5 Etiology: Unknown. No causal relationship with radiation, chemicals or viruses. Small proportional familial ; lymphoid organs malignancies in the first degree. Relatives with CLL in the second degree.

6 Symptoms: 70-80% asymptomatic. The disease grows so the patient may not have symptoms for several years. Others may have : Lymphocytosis Recurrent infections

7 In Advanced stages; Lymphadenopathy; painless

8 Hepatosplenomegaly Ultimatly, bone marrow failure leads to anemia, neutropenia and thrombocytopenia.

9 Investigations: CBC Immunopheontyping FISH Flow cytometry
IgVH gene mutation test Bone marrow aspiration and biopsy Direct antiglobulin test Ultrasound

10 Treatment: In early stages, CLL don’t needs treatment, it doesn’t help. But it should be followed. If you noticed any change like the number of lymphocyte in blood growing quickly or more swelling in lymph nodes.
