1 WELCOME State Road 50 (Cheney Highway) Overview and Methodology
Design outreach to gain input A previous public meeting was held on May 21, 2009 Give us your input Good Evening, I’m Jeremy Dilmore the Department’s Project Management Supervisor for this project. At this time I would like to recognize City Commissioner ____ and State Representative _______ (point). Thank you commissioner for being here tonight. This presentation is to outline the milling and resurfacing project for State Road 50 also known as Cheney Highway. We have project exhibits for you to review and FDOT staff and Engineers are available for questions. Comment forms are available for you to provide us with your input. I will give a brief overview of the project, and afterwards you are encouraged to view the exhibits, read the literature and ask questions of anyone with nametag that you see around the room. Please, if you haven’t already done so, sign in at the table near the door.

2 Public Meeting This meeting is being held in accordance with Chapter 23 Code of Federal Regulations, Titles Six and Eight of the Civil Rights Act and Americans with Disabilities Act. If you need additional information pertaining to the Department’s compliance with Title Six and/or Title Eight, please see one of our project team members that are working the sign-in table at the front entrance.

3 SR 50 Milling & Resurfacing
This project is along on State Road 50/Cheney Highway in Titusville (CLICK) from I-95 to US 1.

4 SR 50 Milling & Resurfacing
Mill & Resurface Signing & Pavement Markings to designate Bicycle Lanes ADA upgrades, curb ramps and new sidewalk construction The project includes milling and resurfacing the existing four lanes and signing and pavement markings will eliminate on-street parking and designate bicycle accomodations along both sides of the roadway.

We are adding new sidewalk to the southwest corner of the SR 50 and SR 405 intersection (CLICK) to connect to existing sidewalk along Ronald McNair Way (CLICK). SR 405 Existing Sidewalk

6 SR 50 Milling & Resurfacing
Schedule Design Complete Spring 2011 Bid Letting Summer 2011 Construction Complete Late 2011 Construction Cost Estimate $6.7 M The design of this project will be complete spring 2011, and will be let for construction bids. Construction will be approximately six months. During construction traffic will be maintained in both directions. Lane closures during construction will be limited to non-rush hour periods. Access to businesses will be maintained. The estimated construction cost of the project is $6.7 million dollars.
