4 Mobile Device Management
The Mobile Device Management System is not able to track the following: Personal content stored on the iPad Personal account information Website or search history Personal communication

6 Policies and Procedures

7 General iPads are the property of the Penn State University Intercollegiate Athletics Department. iPads must be carried in a protective case at all times. iPads may not be left unattended or loaned to others. iPads must be password protected at all times.

8 Breach, Theft & Loss Breach of Security – Immediately report any suspected security breaches to Valerie Cingle. Theft – Immediately report the stolen iPad to Valerie Cingle and file a police report. Loss – Immediately report the lost iPad to Valerie Cingle and file an insurance claim, if applicable. You are responsible for all fees up to and including the cost of replacing the iPad. Valerie Cingle – 101 BJC – –

9 Damages iPads may not be decorated, defaced, or altered.
PSU profiles may not be removed. All repairs must be made through the Apple Care+ Plan. All damages/replacements through Apple Care must be reported immediately to Valerie Cingle. Negligence & abuse of the device may result in dismissal from the program.

10 Expectations of Use You are expected to use the iPad in a responsible and appropriate manner at all times. This includes adherence with: PSU Technology Policies; Local, State, and Federal Laws; The Penn State & ICA Codes of Conduct; ICA Mobile Technology Program Policies & Procedures. Failure to adhere to these policies may result in referral to Judicial Affairs or University Police.

11 Return of Device iPads must be immediately returned to Valerie Cingle in 101 BJC if: You withdraw or transfer from PSU; You are suspended or expelled from PSU; You voluntarily leave or are removed from a PSU athletics team.

14 Quick Tips My PSU Quick Links are not appearing on the home screen.
Restart your iPad by holding down the rectangular button at the top of the device along with the home button (at the bottom center of the iPad). The menu of Free Apps is not appearing when I enter the App Store. Go to the ICAMTP website to find links to the apps available to download (

16 Apple CARE Protection plan
Your iPad comes with an AppleCare+ protection plan. This provides you with access to Apple Experts who can assist you with technical support & hardware coverage. AppleCare Experts can also assist with software support, including: Using iOS and iCloud Connecting to wireless networks Questions about FaceTime, Keynote, Numbers, Pages and other Apple-Branded iPad Apps

18 Set A Passcode All iPads must have a passcode set. A passcode is a layer of protection for the information saved to your iPad. To set your passcode, please complete the following steps: Press Settings  Passcode Lock Enter a 4-digit code that will serve as your passcode. Enter your passcode again.

19 Sign In To iCloud iCloud allows you to connect multiple Apple devices, so you can have access to your documents, photos, etc. from whichever device you are using. If you didn’t sign in to iCloud during your initial iPad set up, please complete the following steps: Press Settings  iCloud Enter your Apple ID & password

20 Turn on “Find My iPad” The “find my iPhone” app for iPad must be installed on your device. To install the app, please complete the following steps. Go to the App Store on your iPad Search for “find my iPhone” and download the app Once installed, open the app and enter your Apple ID & password.
