Tell them how they are doing People need to know what to keep doing and what to change. “I would like to check in on that call with the State.” “Here’s what I observed….” The overall result was… Keep doing this… You might do this to improve… “How do you feel that went?” “What could you do next time?” “What could I do to support you better?” “Nice job on that report!”

Platinum 10. Make them feel heard Listen to connect: Show that you are paying attention. Invite them to share. Ask open-ended questions to show you are curious. Restate until you get a “yes” reaction. Then, they know you heard them. This has been called the “superpower” of great leaders. “Yes! Now I understand!”
