Standards of Practice and Disciplinary Process I. Practice Standards The Practice Standards (Standards) establish essential practice expectations for all athletic trainers. Compliance with the Standards is mandatory. II. Code of Professional Responsibility The Code of Professional Responsibility (Code) mandates that BOC credential holders and applicants act in a professionally responsible manner in all athletic training services and activities.

CODE OF ETHICS Members shall respect the rights, welfare and dignity of all. Members shall comply with the laws and regulations governing the practice of athletic training. Members shall accept responsibility for the exercise of sound judgement. Members shall maintain and promote high standards in their provision of services. Members shall not engage in conduct that could be construed as a conflict of interest or that reflects negatively on the profession.
