‘Hubs’ for Everyone – Replacement for Interactive Service Hub A mobile friendly replacement of the Interactive Service Hub. Hubs exist for all modules in 9.0 UI/UX Changes Removal of unneeded whitespace. Empty subgrid and record indicators. Better alignment of fields & Text wrapping NOT IN Support in Advanced Find Accounts without contacts, Accounts with no opportunities, etc Virtual Entities View related data in D365 without copying it into the system Data connection is handled via Odata 4.0 connections Multi-Select Option Sets Select multiple picklist items for a field Portal Entity Admin Wizard Quicker ability to expose custom entities to the D365 Portal Portal Interaction Tracking Customer portal activities are available in Customer Insights Session Management Administrator defined settings for automatic reauthentication & idle timeout Source Code for Portals A one-time release of Portals for on-prem deployments

Replace Router with Server Side Sync Review your web resources and external application looking for old web service endpoints. Example of JS that will no longer function /XRMServices/2011/OrganizationData.svc Example Good /api/data/v8.1 Turn off legacy form rendering and test Update Plugin to latest SDK DLLs Replace Microsoft.XRM.Client.DLL with new connection strings Research ISV solution to make sure they are compatible with latest releases

The items on the next slide will be going away in a “future major release of Dynamics 365”. It is my recommendation that you begin to plan to replace these items and not introduce new functionality leveraging these pieces of functionality.

10 What an upgrade Process Could look like
Review current environment for items being removed in planned release to upgrade too. Plan mitigation to items failing your review. Upgrade a development/test environment. Execute on mitigation items failing your review. Unit Test the development/test environment. Begin planning production upgrade. Create a training instance of CRM and begin training process to prepare users for differences in environment. Execute on plan to upgrade production organization.
