2 New Books We We asked the school about what books they would like to see in school. After collating the answers we were then able to purchase some new books for each class. L=Our first school council project was to focus on the books that interest the children. R= We carried out a survey which involved asking the classes what authors books they enjoyed to read. E= Once the results where back we looked through them and noticed the books that appeared most frequently. L= We then brought a box of books for each class using the money the school raised from the Tesco's vouchers. R= The children really enjoyed having a new collection of books instead of the of the same old set. E= Since then they have progressed much more in their reading.

3 Primary Active Leaders
Our other project was looking at lunch times. The result to this was more equipment to play with. This was used particularly for Year 6 to encourage Year 1 to play together. Year 1 L= our next school council project was to focus on the fitbods equipment. R= we managed to buy new equipment which meant the children would have a much better range of what they wanted to play with E= fitbods is run by the lovely year6 who give up there lunch time to play games with the year 1 children.

4 Playground equipment More equipment that was purchased
L= Our next project was to improve the quality of the children’s break. R= This involved asking the children and dinner ladies what could be improved and what they liked. E= All of the children said they liked the equipment on offer but would like more of it. L= The dinner ladies said that they wanted more rules to help the children play sensibly. R= We then made a list of the hall and playground rules.

5 School rules Felsted’s Lunchtime Rules
Treat everyone and everything with respect Always listen to adults and do as you are told Ask for help from an adult when needed Use the playground equipment properly and share with others Pack away any equipment after playtime Walk between the zones and in the hall Hands, feet and objects to yourself Keep the hall tidy and tidy your table when you have finished Be polite to all members of staff Use table manners when eating and use table voices School rules E= Listed above are the new lunchtime rules. L= All of the school councils gave out a serve to all the classes to write down some rules, that they think would make the school better. R= we then all looked at the rules and picked the top 10 which are now going be given out. E= these rules have helped the children at lunchtime and break time and during lessons.

6 New Cooking Items L=We also brought some new cooking items.
R=such as new hot cupboards, a new salad bar and a tidy trolley. E=these items were brought through a catering company. L=we also got some new tables and a new cooker. R=these were brought by a combination of a school bid called Universal Free School Meals. (UFSM) and a school contribution.

7 Bullying Play Leaders help all children at playtimes and lunchtimes to encourage them to play nicely together. E= our next subject in felsted primary, school council is going to be focussing on bullying. L= we are going to see if there is any bullying in the school first.
