4 TCCTV Auction Model Direct Revenue Goals and Gains
TCCTV averages $ per auction This is from approximately 120 items auctioned, 40 per night, 3 nights of auction for 3 hours (7pm-10pm) TCCTV receives all funds received (Some items are subject to sales tax…) On average TCCTV receives 90-95% of item value, e.g., $20 item auctions for 18-19…some items go over some are under… High Value Item incentive…bonus items Items of $50 or higher value that auction over value, winning bidder gets bonus item, Wheel of Luck…usually 1 or 2 high value items in bonus each night e.g., Kindle, Brewers’ Tickets Direct Revenue is somewhat low compared to number of staff and volunteer hours needed for execution…Auction funds received are reserved for equipment that is available for public use and check out

Every Station is unique in its service area or community A Live auction and be tailored to fit your stations needs and facility specifications It gets easier Many elements from previous year can be used over, TCCTV will be doing our 6th auction in 2018, hours needed to prep have drastically reduced, business owners and viewers look forward to event each year…makes soliciting easier and viewership greater during auction.

14 TCCTV Live Auction Things I’ve Learned and Tips
Embrace the indirect impacts…they give back year ‘round Set dates to begin and end Soliciting Donation items…give time to schedule and promote auction items…Facebook/twitter to tease items Viewers tend to bid the most on items at the $25 dollar value To high of value and its hard to get full value from bidder Group lower value items together, to create $25 auction items Auction items must be labeled and numbered…use a simple system. TCCTV uses ascending numbers (e.g., Red 15…or Blue 65… TCCTV keeps all gift certificates with Matching Board folder/host scripts for each night Physical items, (e.g., a lamp get a color and number sticker, gift certificates should also be labeled with number.
