7 Important Dates to Remember

8 Communication & Correspondence

9 Tips for Member Retention Success
REMEMBER THESE FIVE THINGS: PERSONAL OUTREACH SPEAKS VOLUMES. PLAN, PLAN, PLAN! BEING ORGANIZED AND PROFESSIONAL MAKES A LASTING IMPRESSION (SO DOES THE OPPOSITE!). LISTEN AND TRULY HEAR WHAT YOUR MEMBERS ARE SAYING. HONESTY AND INTEGRITY ARE EARNED THE HARD WAY, BUT LOST VERY EASILY. COMMUNICATE!!!!

10 Ideas for Member Involvement/Attendance
Invite all members to attend the Chapter planning meeting. It is a great time for them to ask questions and get involved. Send out survey prior to Chapter planning meeting to see what the members want. Member spotlights at each meeting where they have 2-3 minutes to talk about their company and/or themselves working in the construction industry. Prior to starting this one of your meetings could be creating your NAWIC elevator speech. The process could then be utilized for their own personal and/or professional elevator speech. Ask members to host a meeting at their business. The topic can be about something surrounding the member’s business or just the meeting place. Have periodic “Drop In Coffee” and/or “Lunch and Learn”. Have membership committee reach out to M.I.A. members. Encourage engagement: Members want to get involved but aren’t sure how and/or appreciate being asked to help out instead of volunteering.
