Assessment for Students with Intellectual Disabilities Instructors: Christine Martin & Jennifer McEuen Description: This course is intended for special education teachers, school psychologists, and other related service staff responsible for conducting evaluations and progress monitoring assessments for students with intellectual disabilities. During the 3 half day sessions participants will be provided with practical evaluation & progress monitoring assessment tools and strategies in the cognitive and functional academic domains within a long term planning framework. The class will focus on the following topics through interactive instruction and activities: long term planning process for visioning & planning broad-based/cross-domain assessments for identifying problems specific skills assessments for analyzing problems progress monitoring tools delivering difficult news to parent Visit Professional Development to register. “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. Registration opens on Thursday December 12, 2013 through Monday January 20, This 3 part half day class is offered free to all SASED and Member District certified staff. This class is offered to districts outside the membership however, a registration fee of $50 is required. Checks should be made payable to SASED and sent to the attention to Susan Newhard at S. Fairfield Avenue Lombard, IL CPDU, CEU and Certificates of Attendance will be available upon the completion of an evaluation which will be distributed at the end of Session 3.
