Aging is a natural process common to all living organisms Various factors influence the aging process The elderly share similar universal self-care demands with all other human beings GN strives to help older adults achieve holistic care

Gerontology: holistic care
HOLISM is the integration of the biologic, psychologic, social and spiritual dimensions of an individual to form a sum that is greater than its parts. ( Dossey, 1997)
