14 Collect Missing Yearbooks
 Borrow  Donations  Contact High School

15 Send Yearbooks Contact OCI Website: www.ocisales.com
Phone: (405)              (405) Box Yearbooks  Include itemized list OCI will send shipping labels

16 Each page is scanned and saved as a separate jpeg image at 300 ppi

17 After scanning, you get a DVD of the scans.
It is easy to make more copies Allow 4-8 weeks to process.

18 Don't Stop With Discs! DVDs can decay Online access = easier promotion
Online solution should be: Sustainable Easy-to-use Reputable The good news is, the hard part is done! Scanning the yearbooks in is the bulk of the work. But now you have these discs so... your yearbooks are digitzed, right? DVDs are handy for diminishing wear and tear on your yearbooks, but they have limited use as backups – they do decay. They're no more visible than the yearbooks themselves. For longer lasting backups, better accessibility, and easier promotion, you want to put these yearbooks online When we looked for an online solution, we wanted something... (Thank Jasper County!)

20 WAIT! What about copyright??
"It is virtually impossible to name one owner of a yearbook. The individual contributors may own copyright in their contributions. Students may own copyright in the compilation of the contributions. Advertisers may own copyright in their advertisements. The school system may own copyright in contributions by faculty members. Additionally, yearbooks published prior to 1989 that bore no copyright notice would not be protected at all." - U.S. Copyright Office, December 14, 2013
