10. Bullying sometimes happens at Carden
Bullying sometimes happens at Carden. The difference between then and now is that we have the skills to:
Minimise it happening
Have the confidence the call it that when it happens
Have the skills to deal with it when it happens
Have the confidence to stand up to it in all it’s forms

11. Difference between bullying and relational conflict
Once & unaware is being rude
Once and aware is being mean
Repeated and aware is bullying
Constant work on bystander behaviour.

12. Some targets of bullying are difficult to protect because of their own behaviours.
Getting pupils and adults to understand that it’s not just “nice” people who can be the target of bullying and just because someone is difficult to like, it doesn’t justify bullying behaviour.

13. Some people find it hard to identify bullying/relational conflict because of their own SEN – Social Stories and Makaton help.

22. What we offer We offer an initial assessment within one working day
we offer a single point of contact from one of the partner agencies and provided with their contact details.
We will agree with you an appropriate time and method for providing you with regular feedback.
We will undertake a victim and witness assessment with you to ensure that you are fully supported.
We will help you to access appropriate support services should you require them.
You will be asked how you would like to report further anti-social behaviour and to whom
We will use the tools and powers available to us to tackle anti-social behaviour and hate incidents.
We will fully support you through any resolution including court action where necessary.
You will be informed when your case is to be closed and you will be asked for feedback on the service you have received.

The Community Safety Casework Team has facilitated restorative conferences in neutral settings to aid raising awareness of the impact of what happened to the people involved in the case.
