Landforms By: Destinie Azzopardi and Conor Hoban

2 Mountains and Deserts There are four major landforms in China (mountains, deserts, grasslands, and rivers). The Himalayas are the world’s highest mountains. The Himalayas cover most of western China. Mount Everest is part of the Himalayas. Another landform is deserts. The Gobi Desert lies in the northern and middle regions of China.

3 Grasslands and Rivers Another landform is grasslands. Grasslands are along the Pacific Ocean. Grasslands are in the eastern and middle regions of China. Most people live in the grasslands. Another landform is rivers. Farmers grow rice, potatoes, and cotton along riverbanks. The Yangtze is one of the world’s longest rivers. The Yangtze starts in the western mountains and flows into the East China Sea. Those are the four landforms in China.
