Title I Title I is a federal program designed to offer supplemental services and supplies to schools with a high rate of poverty. The goal of Title I is to give EVERY child a high-quality education. This year, CES provides every child breakfast and lunch at no cost to their families Title I can help: Children be more successful in school Parents to have a voice in their child’s education Teachers to collaborate with parents to assist their child’s education

The Basics of Title I The Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) receives the money from the Federal Government. The Florida Department of Education will then send the money to the districts based on the number of families that receive free and reduced lunches When the funds have been received by the Title I schools the parents, administrators, teachers and staff devise a plan to: Identify students who need the most help Measure student progress using the state standards Develop programs that help to supplement classroom instruction

Programs Offered by Title I
Title I offers programs to help student achievement such as: Additional teachers and paraprofessionals Additional training for school staff Extra time for instruction Various teaching methods and materials Tutoring

Get Involved Attend meetings and read our compact and plans
Annual Title I Meeting/Open House Provides information about Title I and your rights and responsibilities as a parent Describes what the school is offering to meet students’ needs Provides access to other parents as well as teachers for collaboration The Parent-School Compact States the goals and responsibilities of school, parents and students Title I Parent Family Engagement Plan Allows parents to understand and take part in your child’s education

We want you here and involved in your child’s educational experience
We want you here and involved in your child’s educational experience. Please take the time to complete the School Access Form. Under the For Parents and Students Tab at the top you’ll find the School Access form link. School Access Form Please fill this out this evening if you are not currently an approved volunteer (must be done every three years). Also, you have to reapply if CES is not the school where you were previously approved. You need this to go on field trips, visit the classroom, have lunch at school, attend award ceremonies, or any campus visit that takes place during school hours, etc.

Reminder: When sending in cash with a student, please put it in an envelope or zip-lock bag and labeled with their name, the amount and what it is to be used for.

Celebrations and Treats
If you wish to send in a treat or invitations for the class to recognize your child’s birthday or other celebration, please remember: Check with your child’s teacher about any class allergies Remember CUPCAKES are best, as they don’t require a knife, plates, or forks (no cakes) If you are having a party or celebration outside of school, and you wish to have your child distribute invitations at school, this can only be done if there is an invitation for everyone in the class.
