PURPOSE:
To support Southeast Asian countries’ development and implementation of holistic and comprehensive lifelong learning approaches that link different sectors and forms of learning
EXPECTED IMPACT:
positive changes in the region towards inclusive, gender-responsive lifelong learning policies and programmes in line with UNESCO Programme, ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Blueprint 2025, and SEAMEO Educational Priorities

Purpose:
to review national reports (11 countries) and the synthesis report
to preview the concept of an online portal
to agree on a set of recommendations
to strengthen regional collaborative activites
to review the synthesis report based on country national executive summaries
to review the concept of an online portal and other dissemination strategies for sharing knowledge in lifelong learning in the region
to agree on a set of recommendations on lifelong learning policies
inclusive, gender-responsive lifelong learning policies and programmes in line with UNESCO Programme, ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Blueprint 2025, and SEAMEO Educational Priorities

13. Expected outcomes in countries
Multi-stakeholder/multi-sectoral dialogue on lifelong learning initiated and strengthened within and among national ministries responsible for lifelong learning (i.e. basic education, higher education, vocational education) and with other public and private stakeholder organizations that are involved in the development and implementation of lifelong learning policies and strategies.

Impediments and possible government responses to improve equity and quality of lifelong learning identified.
