Air Force Synthetic Environment for Reconnaissance and & Surveillance Primary virtual Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) simulation used within the Department of Defense (DoD) for command and staff level training for the Joint Services and component commands.

All Army Trainers accredited Code re-used Terrain & models developed in-house Scenarios developed in-house All Army Trainers Accredited: by U.S. Army Aviation Directorate of Simulation (DOS). Code Re-Use: Current UAS programs benefit from the common components of MUSE/AFSERS used across all JSIL DoD trainer platforms. Terrain & Models are developed in-house: the JSIL team is capable of rapidly producing geo-specific terrain databases for anywhere in the world with a robust current library of terrain and articulating models, with supporting 711th HPW – AFRL human animations. Developed in-house, ViPRS provides capability for rapidly developing and delivering high fidelity tactical scenarios to support Warfighter training requirements.

PCAS Minotaur DARPA-funded proof-of-concept PCAS shortens 60-minute CAS kill-chain to 5 minutes Talk between JTAC and pilot/operator Achieved with 2 tablets John Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab Provides Multi-INT capabilities for Multi-platform Multi-sensor DARPA funded demonstration/initial-proof-of-concept. If approved for further development the final result would be a seamless integration of PCAS and Minotaur capabilities with the Gray Eagle UAS for SOCOM activities. PCAS – Persistent Close Air Support. Is a DARPA project, with Raytheon, that shortens the ~ 60-minute CAS “kill-chain” to ~ 5 minutes by facilitating direct SA sharing and Comms between a JTAC and a Aircraft pilot/Operator. This is achieved via two tablet devices, loaded with SA and engagement SW, connected thru Maingate Radios using Raytheon’s Engagement Management System’s (EMS) token management system. Minotaur – Is a John Hopkins University’s (JHU) Applied Physics Lab (APL) product that provides Multi-INT Capabilities for Real-Time Multi-Platform, Multi-Sensor ISR Operations, both Maritime and Overland. The capabilities include SIGINT lob determination; FMV Geo-registration; Precision Cross-Cue; and Video Moving Target Indicators (MTI) with detection, tracking, and classification of vehicles and walkers in full-motion video, including through stoppages and obscurations.
