3 . EAPBX interface with phones and provide power to operate and ring the phone.It also interfaces with other pbx or to other devices. The interface with the phone is called subcriber side and interface with PBX is called the trunk side.

5 EPABX System Cabinents
This cabinet can take two shelves of 28 slots each or one shelf of 28 slot and two shelves of 14 slots. In each shelf (14 or 28 slots) two slots are used for control boards remaining slots are universal slots and each supports 32 ports.

8 Why do you need an IP PBX ? Any IP telephony setup that is for more than two or three lines needs a switching system to make it more efficient, allow internal calling and switching between users and to provide more advanced features like voic , call forwarding, call hold, conferencing and more

11 SESSION INITIATION PROTOCOL (SIP)
SIP is an IETF standard protocol for establishing, manipulating and tearing down an interactive user session that involves multimedia element such as audio, video, instant messaging or other real time data communication.SIP is a request-response protocol that works in application layer of the OSI.

13 H.323 H.323 is a ITU standard protocol that specified the components, protocols and procedures real time audio, video and data communication over packed network including internet protocol based network H.323 is explained with an emphasis on gateway and gatekeepers which are components of H.323 network.

Media gateway control protocols were born out of the need for IP networks to interwork with traditional telephony systems and enable support of large-scale phone-to-phone deployments Media gateway control protocols provide remote control of media streams as they transit between IP and traditional telephone networks

16 HOW IPPBX WORK co A VOIP Phone System / IP PBX system consists of one or more SIP phones / VOIP phones, an IP PBX server and optionally includes a VOIP Gateway. The IP PBX server is similar to a proxy server: SIP clients, being either soft phones phones or hardware based phone, register with the IP PBX server, and when they wish to make a call they ask the IP PBX to establish the connection. 19 MAIN FUNCTIONING OF EPABX SYSTEM
Automated attendant - An automatic system to answer phones Voic and voice mailboxes - More advanced features would include the ability to record ALL incoming and outgoing conversations automatically Conferencing - Allows the caller and other parties to speak together on one connection. Call Transfer - Transfer enables a user to forward an incoming call to another telephone or extension.

20 . Call Park - When a call is placed in “park” it is put on hold at a specific extension number to be resumed by someone at another phone. That person can pick up the call by keying the displayed extension number. If no one is available to take the call at the other location, it will “ring back" to the original extension alerting the person who originally parked the call. Blacklist - Prevents callers from making outgoing calls but allows them to receive incoming calls. Call forwarding - Automatic, programmed or manual call forwarding to any number
