2. Your Challenge ‘Breaking News’
In your groups, your task today is to create a news report, in the year 1948.
The news report needs to examine the question ‘what was the relationship between East and West like in the years ?’
You must discuss all of the events you have studied in the ‘Origins of the Cold War’ unit so far.
In your news report, evaluate the significance of different events.
You can also predict the outcome of these events on the world (remember in 1948, people didn’t know there wasn’t going to be a full blown nuclear war).
Finally, remember to be inventive, you can present these reports in any way you like eg you may want to re-create and act out certain events, interview different characters etc.
