7 Research Grant Hosting at Bristol CCG
Collaborative teams, NHS staff and University staff, Co-production of NHS relevant research ideas NIHR applications, submitted via the CCG as “Host Organisation” Grant awarded, NIHR contract with Bristol CCG Bristol CCG sub contract with all the other Partners (Universities, Charities and Trusts) to share finances and responsibilities Bristol CCG do all the background work, researchers do all the research At year end the NIHR review our grant income…..and reward us with a percentage of that, purely to support new research ideas, staff and infrastructure – this is the Research Capability Funding The research Ideas are NHS ideas, the research output is useful for the NHS users – with real life impact which benefits Academia and Practice, RCF is generated
