10 TAACCCT and TechHIRE: Leveraging DOL Grant Initiatives
The US Department of Labor’s Trade Assistance for Community Colleges and Career Training (TAACCCT) and TechHire Grants have allowed community colleges to create/enhance educational programs for high wage jobs in high growth industries. Colleges were able to create non-traditional approaches like coding boot camps and short term training in information technology.

Austin Community College – Austin, TX Web Software Developer Bootcamp This fast pace and challenging 24 week full stack web development bootcamp (full-bootcamp) is offered through ACC Continuing Education. Students will be hands on learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, JQuery, Node.JS, Express.JS and more. Students will learn the basics of web development and get assigned a mentor in the program.
