4 Science and Social Studies
Science and Social Studies will not be a class that the children take every day. The past few weeks we have focused on Social Studies. When we finish up with the topic, we will switch to Science shortly. Be aware that your child may not have any Science grades on the progress report. Topics: Science Social Studies Magnets Economics Fossils Greece Habitats Map Features Rocks and Minerals Historical Figures

5 Math Please spend at least 10 minutes every night practicing basic addition, subtraction, and multiplication facts. In 3rd grade they are suppose to know their basic addition and subtraction facts from the start. This means they can solve 6+4= or 9-3= in 5 seconds or less. This year we will really focus on multiplication. Most of our skills in math require basic multiplication facts. Topics: Graphs, adding and subtracting 3 digit numbers, rounding, arrays, Area and Perimeter, multiplication and division, geometry, elapsed time,

6 Blue Folders Folders go home every night. Sign folders Thursday night.
Students will miss 5 minutes of recess if they don’t have them. No Pride on Friday if folder isn’t at school.

7 Homework Math Sheet Reading Sheet
All homework is due by Friday. If homework is not turned in on Friday your child will miss Friday Pride.
