Clear Channel is proud to present the 9th Annual Rady Children’s Hospital Celebration of Life Radiothon and “make a change for Children’s program.” Taking place on April 30 – May 1st, 2009.
The “Make a Change for Children’s Program” will be a fun addition to this years event. As all of our radio stations are set up on site outside the Emergency Room, listeners will be encouraged to drive by the hospital turn around and throw any amount of change into a giant vat. No amount is too little. Times are tough for everyone right now, any donation will be celebrated. Each of the station personalities will be on site to greet the listener.
As they drop off their change, they will receive (2) Free Tickets to the New Children’s Museum in exchange for their donation.

We are excited to evolve this year to be more celebratory. Our goal will be to communicate the great celebration stories that happen at Rady Children’s Hospital each day.

2. Clear Channel’s family of radio stations will provide the following:
ON SITE:
Clear Channel intends to set up all station tents on site, outside near the turn around, so we may interact with the listeners.
All seven radio stations will have presence with their canopies/stationality. However, the schedule for live on air is as follows:
933: 6a-10a Thursday – AJ’s Playhouse

10a-5p – AJ will do hourly updates live from the hospital, each hour will include the vignette/interview
8a-1p – Saturday – AJ will be on site during this time

10a-1p – Ryan Seacrest – there will be inventory with the same repetition scheduled
1p-3p – Thursday – Delana will be broadcasting
1p-3pm – Friday - Delana will be broadcasting

8a-1p – Saturday – Jock on site with promotions staff on Saturday - *2 hours for jock.

4. On Air:
Each station will have mention of the Radiothon once every 15 minutes on Thursday and Friday from 6a-7p and Saturday from 8am-1pm
Deliverables : 504 mentions over the three days (this may be in the form of a vignette, a :30 second commercial, a live endorsement with the phone number or a :5 second commercial message with the phone number
Interviews as in year’s past with doctors and staff, live from the hospital
Interviews as in year’s past with patients, live from the hospital

5. Online:
Prominent presence on all Clear Channel Websites from Monday, April 27th-Saturday, May 2.
Clear Channel will create a main landing page that will have all of the information about the Radiothon, including donation information, hospital information and featured stories. This will link directly to the donation page that you have built.
Streaming Commercials on all seven radio stations from Monday, April 27th-Saturday, May 2. These would have a link on them to the Radiothon donation website.
An blast to the station’s database – sent during the week of 4/20 and 4/27, goes to 6 radio station database lists; Channel 933, Star 941, New Country 957, KGB 101.5, Rock 1053, AM 600 KOGO.
Listeners will who are driving or not near their computer, will be given a key word i.e.: “children or Radiothon” that they may enter on any station website to be linked to the giving page.
Opportunity to run a video feature (2 minutes in length) on the main page for the Radiothon.
