Use a registered opportunity in OPRA
An opportunity with an approved registration in Global Partner Portal can be used in OPRA to: Request an SBO (mandatory) Gain extra discounts for Value Seller Requests (optional) This guide will describes: How to look up an opportunity from Global Partner Portal (within OPRA) How to manually insert an opportunity (if the lookup option from Global Partner Portal is not available)

How to look up an opportunity from Global Partner Portal

Prerequisite The Business Partner creating the request in OPRA has to be part of the sales team for the desired opportunity in Global Partner Portal. The registration is visible in OPRA only 2 hours after the approval in Global Partner Portal. The opportunity cannot be in sales stage 11-lost or 7-Win The registration must be have a status of “Approved” or “Extended.”

You can search in OPRA for opportunities that have been registered in Global Partner Portal
To search for an opportunity: Create the bid request and select the leading brand. In the Opportunity Information section, click Search for a Registered Opportunity. Note: You can click the Help link if you need help.

To search for an opportunity: In the Search by field, click the field arrow. Click the field you would like to search on: Business Partner Name, Customer Company Name, or Opportunity Number.

To search for an opportunity: Type your search criteria. See Rules for Search Criteria. Click Search. The search returns opportunities that matches the criteria entered AND where the Country Enterprise ID (CEID) selected when creating the bid request matches that of the CEID of any Business Partner organization that has a user on the opportunity sales team.

Click the desired opportunity. Click Select. Note: The end user country of the selected Opportunity must matchthe country of the end user that you selected when you created the bid request, otherwise you will receive an error message.

The End User (Customer) Information, Opportunity and Program information (Name and Expiration date) are propagated to the appropriate fields in the bid request. The Opportunity information section is now visible. Note: You can edit some fields in the opportunity, such as the End User (Customer) details fields and the Project Name field.

Rules for search criteria The search criteria may be a complete value (for example, the entire Customer Name) or a partial value (for example, if you enter “A” as a partial Customer Name, the search returns all opportunities with the Customer Name beginning with A, i.e., ABC Corp.) Opportunity search is not case-sensitive. An asterisk (*) is not recognized as a wildcard. You can leave the Search for a Registered Opportunity field blank for a list of all registered opportunities where the CEID that you selected when you created the bid request matches that of the CEID of any Business Partner organization that has a user on the opportunity sales team.

How to manually insert an opportunity in OPRA (if it is not available on the selection list):
Answer “Yes” to the question; “Do you Have a Pre-Approval Code or a Registered Opportunity?” In the first Pre-Approved field, indicate the opportunity Number (without “-” symbol) and add the program name you want to use in the comment section (see the screen shot below).
