2 Registering an opportunity
If you have an opportunity that qualifies for an available incentive program, register that opportunity using the following steps. You can register the same opportunity for more than one program. - Click the Opportunities tab. - Click the hyperlink in the Opportunity Num field to edit the opportunity. - Click the Opportunity Registration view tab. - Click New.

3 Choose the incentive program
- Click the Incentive Name field control icon. The Incentive Name window displays, showing a list of incentives that are available in your country. - Click the chevron (>) next to the incentive name for which you are registering this opportunity. - Click Pick.

4 Add attachments - To be valid, a registration must have a completed Deal Registration form attached. To add an Attachment to your request, in the Attachments applet, click New. - Click the File Name field icon. - Click Browse in the File Name field. - Locate the file on your hard drive. - Double-click the file you want to attach. - Click the Comment field and type a comment if needed. - Click Save.

5 Submit the registration
Note that the Incentive Status field shows a default status of Draft. As long the request is in this status you can still make changes and updates. If you want to submit the request for approval, make sure you change the status to Submitted for Eligibility and click Save. IBM will review the opportunity according to the program eligibility criteria. If necessary, Business Partners can withdraw the opportunity from the incentive program at any time by changing the Incentive Status field to Withdrawn.

6 Opportunity registration list
To view all opportunities that you have registered for any incentives: Click the Opportunities tab. Click the Show field arrow. Click My Opportunity Registrations. A list of opportunities that you have registered for any incentives displays.

8 Collaboration with Distributors
Business Partners can delegate their Global Partner Portal tasks to the Distributors by allowing them to manage the leads in the system on their behalf. This means that Business Partners won’t have to take care of Global Partner Portal and can focus on the sale, creating higher efficiency. If you choose to allow a Distributor to register opportunities on your behalf, you must provide them with your CEID and Focal Point address. If you do not know the CEID and Focal Point address for your firm, please contact the Global Partner Portal Operations Team at:
