Let’s take a closer look...

2 What is Scouting? Scouting offers fun, challenge and everyday adventure to 450,000 young people and 100,000 adults across the UK.

3 Across five age ranges. . . Beaver Scouts (6-8 years)
Cub Scouts (8-10½) Scouts (10½-14 years) Explorer Scouts (14-18 years) Scout Network (18-25 years)

4 We have a positive impact on . . .
Young people – providing opportunities to grow in confidence and develop life skills. Adult volunteers – providing the opportunity to develop skills and training. Society – providing practical benefits to our communities.

5 Scouting is . . . For boys and girls Active – over 200 activities.
Community based - in villages, towns and cities across the UK Inclusive - all kinds of cultures, faiths and backgrounds Global - 31 million Scouts in over 200 countries across the world. In Berkshire – 8,500 young people and over 2,000 volunteers.

13 Volunteering opportunities in Cubs.
Existing Pack meets – Wednesdays 6.30 to 8pm. New Pack will meet – Tuesdays to 8pm. Volunteering opportunities in Cubs. Cub Leader Assistant Cub Leaders EDIT AS APPROPRIATE Section Assistants, Occasional Helpers, Skills instructors, other adults in Scouting.

19 What next? Willing volunteers step forward to fill key roles.
They meet here at 6pm on Thursday 3rd March . Volunteers complete short online training modules and DBS check. They also visit other local groups. Hopefully first full session after Easter Holidays. All adults, whether volunteering or not, will be kept informed of the group’s progress and when full sessions will begin. Fill in with your relevant information.
