8 When learning a language to travel and communicate on a day-to-day basis, it doesn’t matter if you conjugate wrong or put words in the incorrect order. You will be understood and you will be able to get what you want/need. However, we are also learning the language to be able to read, write, understand and speak the language at an academically higher level than just basic conversation; therefore, we will be learning and practicing grammar in addition to speaking. In both areas, you will make many mistakes. Accept this fact and use it to your advantage! If you make mistakes, it means you are using the language creatively and going beyond memorized phrases! That is AWESOME! You are progressing on the fluency descriptors! Devour the feedback and use it to strengthen your skills!
