2. Academic Support Tuition – Phase 2
Phase 2 of the Academic Support Tuition project seeks to
Implement a monitoring mechanism
Provide training for staff and ‘expectation setting’ for students
Provide guidance and resources to help academic areas implement AST
Refine the AST policy to make it workable in practice
Due to finish July 2016 but likely to take longer

Would like to introduce senior AST’s in each area to
Mentor and train AST’s
Assist with difficult issues
Monitor and enhance AST provision
Spread effective practice across the institution
