Academic Summit (2013) Special Education Teacher Support Site Members can contact members easily whenever convenient for them. Notifications can be sent automatically to all members when a new file or post is added. Online networks enhance traditional networking, such as phone trees, because all members have instant access to changes.

8 Academic Summit (2013) Discussion Threads Teachers could communicate when they had a chance. Teachers could answer teacher questions.

9 Folders Academic Summit (2013) Having a support site held an advantage to traditional professional development because only those documents needed by the teacher had to printed. Some information applied to particular teachers, other information to other teachers. If a teacher needed information next week or next year, it was still available in the Edmodo folder—no losing papers on a busy teachers cluttered desk. Establishing folders enabled teachers to quickly find what they needed (efficient file storage). Files were placed in each folder by content, such as needed documents and links to web pages.
