Collaborative activities promoting Health and Social Sciences, Engineering, Leisure Services, Sport Science, English and Maths Activities and support for students with a disability, assessment tools, specialist mentors Post 16 activity to promote Engineering vocational routes at post 16 – Progression Programme Interactive Summer conference for teachers and practitioners Teacher CPD – recognising disabilities, Behaviour Management, Curriculum Reforms, downloadable support materials etc Research and action forum as a test bed to inform planning and developments Under development - Parental Engagement Activities

An alternative route to gaining a University Degree Students study for their undergraduate programme in a College environment

8 What types of courses are on offer at undergraduate level at College?
Professional and Technical Qualifications with a focus on employability such as: Animal Management Artistic Makeup and Special Effects Business – including Business and Finance, Business and Law, Business and Accounting, Business and Computing Construction including Building and Engineering Services and Building Studies Computing including Computer Science, Computer Gaming, Computer Programming and Development Creative Sound Technology Early Years and Early Childhood Practice, Children , Families and Community Health Engineering including Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering Equine Management Education and Training Fashion Footwear Graphics and eMedia Hospitality Management and Events Management Horticulture and Conservation Management Performing Arts including: Musical Theatre, Dance, Acting and Technical Theatre Photography including Photography with Video, Creative Media Production and Digital Film Technology Sports Science, Sports Development, Sports Coaching Space Engineering Travel and Tourism Uniformed Public Service

13 Is a College Higher Education Degree valued in the same way as a University Degree?
Does the government view the degrees offered by Colleges differently? No, not at all. They are governed by the same rules and provide the same access to tuition fees and maintenance loans as with Universities Is the degree the same quality if I study it at a College? Yes. Most College degrees are ‘validated’ by a partner University. Which Universities have validated the College degrees? De Montfort University, Loughborough University, Nottingham Trent University, the University of Bolton, Warwick University, University of Derby and Aston University
