Transformation of T shirt project: Introduction including design brief and analysis and 6 R’s page pages Initial ideas with notes and in full colour, clearly showing designer’s influence page Any additional research for images/text, mounted on A3 and fully explained why it is included/relevant maybe 1-2 pages Testing of techniques with samples, notes and evaluations pages Process of transformation ---- with photographs of developmental stages and notes pages Final evaluation with peer evaluation using either pro forma or own format using slide guidelines from PowerPoint on shared area page Include your MEL on the top of ALL your pages All pages must be clearly named

2 Upcycling – extension work – design project
Design brief: Orsola De Castro ( the Founder of London Fashion Week’s Esthethica show which is the Eco friendly showcase of London’s best design talent in this area) has commissioned you to design a collection of womenswear outfits suitable for the opening night of the Eco fashion awards. This is a prestigious evening and will be well covered in the press. Your outfit will be worn by a high profile young actress You can choose from the following garments to use for your upcycled outfit: Existing evening wear short or long dresses/ beachwear/dance wear/ men’s jackets/waistcoats /ties, scarves, hats / gloves, fabric can be woven or knitted (as T shirt material) fabric can be plain or patterned, lacy, you can use gathers, frills, lacing building on ideas for the T shirt project. Create 6-8 ideas, coloured, with back views with notes using fashion drawing templates – this could use 2 xA3 pages. Ideas must be imaginative and show creativity

3 Orsola De Castro: A designer who makes clothes out of recycled offcuts of luxury materials. She also recycles a lot of dance wear to make new outfits. This dress is made from wetsuits and swimwear

What sort of shapes can your upcycled garment create? Costume? Fashion? Haute Couture?

7 Today’s lesson: You will finish a creative fashion drawing, following the same brief as last lesson. Also you will contribute to other’s drawings. Take a piece of paper, a template and draw one fashion figure from the template. Know if your are A,B,C,D or E.

8 Draw your dress shape outline onto your figure.
