2 BerufsInfoZentren (BIZ) Career Information Centres
64 BIZ which are located in local PES offices Information is available without an appointment Optional use; registration is not obligatory, anonym information is possible Information about vocations, apprenticeship training, labour market, schools is offered via various media: Books, brochures, leaflets, folders Videos Computers (with internet access) BIZ staff gives additional support including career counselling and handling EDP tools. 2010: young people visited the BIZ individually

3 Good practice: AMS for Youth in Vienna
Target groups Young people with residence in Vienna, between 15 and 21 years of age Enterpises looking for apprentices Greatest challenge: 60% of the clients are migrants Some diversity initiatives: Visits to mosques on Fridays after prayers in order to get into contact with parents and youths Information events in mosques and culture clubs with the Advisory centre for migrants Cooperation agreement with Turkish and Serbian newspapers (reports on PES services for youths) DVDs in different foreign languages

4 Cooperation with schools
BerufsInfoZentrum (BIZ) School classes are invited into one of the 64 BIZ. 2010: classes with pupils visited a BIZ. Intention: BIZ staff supports the transition from school to work, shows job opportunities, helps planning the career, gives labour market information and information about PES services. Information for teachers on Special information before visiting a BIZ Intention: optimal preparation for schools themselves „BeSt-Messe“- job, training and education fair Organized by PES Austria, the Federal Ministry for Education, Arts & Culture and the Federal Ministry for Science & Research 2011: visitors and 343 exhibitors in Vienna

5 Printed material Leaflets, brochures, booklets offering vocational information, guidebook for job application and information about PES services. Distributed at local PES offices & BIZ, at places frequented by young people (e.g. youth centres) and at youth events. Download and online-booking is possible.

Virtual platform for pupils, students, apprenticeship seekers, teachers „Vocational compass“ for apprenticeship seekers Information about schools and vocations

Online job search and apprenticeship trainings eAMS-Konto Online contact with PES counsellor (e.g. receive vacancies, view action plan, book dates for next counselling, give feedback on interviews) Supports the counselling and mediating process Online counselling For jobseekers with eAMS-Konto account, which are jobready Pilot test in 2010, starts in all local PES offices in June 2011 „Interaktives Bewerbungsportal“ Online tool giving support in all matters of job application
