1 Coverage Etiquette Clinic and activity

2 What is NEVER acceptable! Think: PROFESSIONAL
Cell phone usage Non-sports medicine students Sneaking in food and/or drinks. Sneaking in another student to watch the game or for food and drinks. Not paying attention to the game. Talking with athlete’s while they are participating Cheering Sign up for a game and not showing up without notice.

3 What is expected at a Soccer game.
Sit around medical area on table, gator, referee chairs (until they need them). Watch game for injuries, wound care, etc. Light and quiet conversations amongst only sports medicine staff. Help when asked to do so by ATC or coaches. Be respectful, courteous, and kind to all people If only working one game, check water after game; refill if needed. Studying and practicing skills will be limited to halftimes or between games (football excluded). Clean up our supplies and put away after the last competition. Excused when ATC states that everyone is done.

4 What is expected at a Volleyball game.
Sit in the bleachers, closest to the clinic. If athletes or other students move into the area, we stick together but need to ask our friends to leave. Watch game for injuries, wound care, etc. Light and quiet conversations amongst only sports medicine staff. Help when asked to do so by ATC or coaches. Be respectful, courteous, and kind to all people If only working one game, check water after game; refill if needed. Studying and practicing skills will be limited to halftimes or between games (football excluded). Clean up our supplies and put away after the last competition. Excused when ATC states that everyone is done.

5 What is expected at a Football game.
Be on the sidelines and ready to work. Each person/pair has a job for each quarter and you are expected to fulfill that duty for the entire quarter. Complete your job to the best of your ability. Ask questions if you do not understand what the job is. Do not do someone else’s job unless you are asked to do so by ATC. Light and quiet conversations amongst sports medicine staff only. Keep comments to players short and only if they talk to you first. Help when asked to do so by ATC or coaches. Be respectful, courteous, and kind to all people Have a sense of urgency with everything we do on game day. Clean up our supplies and put away after the last competition. Excused when ATC states that everyone is done.

6 What is expected at a Basketball game.
Sit in the bleachers, behind our home bench. If athletes or other students move into the area, we stick together but need to ask our friends to leave. Watch game for injuries, wound care, etc. Light and quiet conversations amongst only sports medicine staff. Help when asked to do so by ATC or coaches. Be respectful, courteous, and kind to all people If only working one game, check water after game; refill if needed. 7 What is expected at a Wrestling match.
Be on the side of the mat and ready to work. Each person/pair has a job for each match or number of matches and you are expected to fulfill that duty for the entire time. Complete your job to the best of your ability. Ask questions if you do not understand what the job is. Do not do someone else’s job unless you are asked to do so by ATC. Light and quiet conversations amongst sports medicine staff only. Keep comments to players short and only if they talk to you first. Help when asked to do so by ATC or coaches. If only working one dual, check water after dual; refill if needed. Be respectful, courteous, and kind to all people Have a sense of urgency with everything we do. 8 What is expected at a Baseball game.
Sit around medical area on the third base side garden on table, gator or stand. Watch game for injuries, wound care, etc. **BE ATTENTIVE TO FOUL BALLS!** Light and quiet conversations amongst only sports medicine staff. Help when asked to do so by ATC or coaches. Be respectful, courteous, and kind to all people If only working one game, check water after game; refill if needed. Studying and practicing skills will be limited to halftimes or between games (football excluded). Clean up our supplies and put away after the last competition. Excused when ATC states that everyone is done.

9 What is expected at a Softball game.
Sit around medical area on the third base side on bench, lawn chair, blanket or stand. Watch game for injuries, wound care, etc. **BE ATTENTIVE TO FOUL BALLS AND PLAYERS GOING OUT OF BOUNDS!** Light and quiet conversations amongst only sports medicine staff. Help when asked to do so by ATC or coaches. Be respectful, courteous, and kind to all people If only working one game, check water after game; refill if needed. Studying and practicing skills will be limited to halftimes or between games (football excluded). Clean up our supplies and put away after the last competition. Excused when ATC states that everyone is done.

10 What is expected at a Track meet.
Sit at your designated starting point: Throwers, jumping, first aid station, etc. Watch meet for injuries, wound care, etc. **STAY OUT OF THE WAY OF COMPETITION!** Light and quiet conversations amongst only sports medicine staff. Help when asked to do so by ATC or coaches. Be respectful, courteous, and kind to all people If only working one rotation, check water after; refill if needed. Studying and practicing skills will permitted but you still pay attention to competition and competitors. Stop what you are doing to help them comes first. If your area is completely done competing, clean up that area and take to clinic to clean. You can continue to monitor another area after checking in with ATC. Clean up our supplies and put away after the last competition. Excused when ATC states that everyone is done.

11 What is expected at a Tennis match.
Sit around the courts in the grass, lawn chair, bench, etc. Watch meet for injuries, wound care, etc. Light and quiet conversations amongst only sports medicine staff. Help when asked to do so by ATC or coaches. Be respectful, courteous, and kind to all people If only working one rotation, check water after; refill if needed. Studying and practicing skills will permitted but you still pay attention to competition and competitors. Stop what you are doing to help them comes first. If the competition is over, ask coach for keys to the clinic and roll in water cart (may also ask ATC, if they are covering another sport). Clean up our supplies and put away after the last competition. Excused when cart is at least inside clinic and COACH signs you our (can ask ATC, if they are covering another sport) You are not allowed to leave 5 minutes before the last match is to end in order to avoid cleaning up.
