Introduction to the language and culture of the Spanish-speaking world.
Emphasis on:
vocabulary (a lot)
grammar (a lot)
speaking writing music & culture
By year-end:
write an essay, read texts, speak and understand
in the present and preterite past tenses.

5. This is a high school level course
This is a high school level course. Daily study beyond the hw is EXPECTED Throughout the district students take the same Spanish finals.
Students may request high school credit for this course when they get to high school
Credit will not be automatically assigned. Liberty recommends talking with your counselor during junior year.
60% must be earned in Tri 1
to continue in Trimester 2.
70% recommended to continue to Spanish 2 next year.
Loads of HW. Will take some time to get in the rhythm.
