4 Our Classroom Rules The Matteson Family knows and accepts as true that everyone has a right to a safe and engaging school environment. With that being said as an Educational Institution we operate from five basic school-wide rules: Respect yourself and those around you. Follow direction the first time given…without question. Be prepared for school (work) everyday. Be punctual to school and class everyday. Keep your hands, feet, and all other objects to yourself.

5 Students Rights Feel safe at school and on the bus.
All Matteson students have the right to: Feel safe at school and on the bus. Be in an environment conducive to learning. Be spoken to kindly and courteously by adults and children. Have their property and personal space respected.

6 Jobs There will be several jobs in Mr. Price’s class. These jobs include: Line Leader Homework Collector Paper Passer Bathroom Supervisor Pencil Sharpener Teacher Helper Lights

7 Snacks and Water You may bring a water bottle as long as you understand how to care for the privilege (spills, dropping on the floor) Students need a pick me up about midmorning so they may bring a healthy snack to eat. Healthy snacks: popcorn, pretzels, fruit, crackers. (please do not send packaged snacks with high sugar content)

8 I expect: Students to be on time to class.
Students to complete work in a timely fashion without interrupting other students. Students should not bring toys to school unless requested to by a teacher. Students should treat everyone as they want to be treated. Students should always try their hardest. Students should always use their best manners. Students should always have their red folder at school

10 Successful Year Talk to your child every day about school.
Assist with homework. Insist that your child reads for at least 20 minutes every day! Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
