2 IFP ALUMNI KENYA Formed in 2005 by the Kenyan beneficiaries who’ve completed their studies To provide a platform for sharing experiences and networking Registered under the Societies Act Chapter 108 of the Laws of Kenya Approximately 25 members

4 Vision Better quality of life among disadvantaged communities in Kenya

5 Mission To enhance the capacity of IFP Alumni Kenya to empower disadvantaged communities

6 Objectives To create and facilitate a mechanism through which alumni can re-enter, reintegrate, share experiences and network To promote better health for disadvantaged communities To promote awareness on leadership, governance and human rights

Mobile schools Civic education in Turkana, Kuria & Kajiado Reproductive health education Co-funded Goma Primary School initiative

Provision of access to schooling for children who due to mobile lifestyle of their community do not access schooling Help community to easily transport the classroom structure and other pre-school facilities as they shift to new sites in search of pasture and water.

14 CIVIC EDUCATION Capacity Building – training on human rights, the rule of law, gender, among the disadvantaged communities. Awareness- existing local authority funds, CDF/ community resources

Low turn up for meetings Professional commitment Distance Communication - Internet not available/slow in some areas
