4 Next Steps This forum with further desk review and compilation of all discussion points will be an input for modifying our ‘implementation plan’ The output which will be produced from this forum will be used as a supplement to any food security information for Action States will use these results as a spring board for their further awareness, appraisal and implementation of the IPC While supporting the current IPC, we will continue strengthening the existing monitoring system

Step I: Identifying/Establishing Tech. Groups Stakeholder analysis - done Formation of informal technical group within the MoAF - done Confirmation of availability to establish partnership Create a formal food security working group and a sub-working group dealing with IPC (sub-technical working group) Discussion on steps to be taken for the IPC adoption

6 Next Steps Step II: Awareness Creation and Capacity building of Core team National level consultations with key stakeholders and decision makers First level training of experts - as a follow up to the workshop Preparation of Joint plan of action for the IPC analytical process Assessment of country analytical tools to capture population needs and to inform setting of national priorities Briefings on the use and process of the IPC for key decision makers. Awareness creation - implicit activity of IPC

Step III: Technical Training Set up of a regional technical support group in collaboration with partner organizations Elaboration of training material and guidelines for information analysis and management of IPC analytical process Setting up of face to face learning modules and on-line support Capacity and training needs analysis Training of trainers Training of national experts in analysis Training of local partners at sub national level Regular update and refreshment courses

Step IV. IPC Analysis at national level – on-going Review of documents on Sudan and related literature Assembling of information and gap analysis More focus on selected States and assess the use Convening of IPC country analytical session at least twice a year Completion of IPC evidence based analysis template. Vetting of IPC results amongst forum of peers and decision makers. Production and public dissemination of results

Step V: Monitoring, evaluation and lesson learning Utilize and create awareness by available forums using the current developments of IPC - New website; participating in regional forums; and acquiring backstopping service HQ and regional office Set up of real time monitoring evaluation system with network partners Mechanism to link national lessons learned to regional and global level analysis.

Integration of lessons learning into technical feedback mechanism i.e. user group and online IPC platform. Independent evaluation Final workshop to evaluate project results and planning for future activities beyond initial project life cycle
