5 4 STEP 1 As a first step, the app offers you 3 alternative charities from which you have to select one. The charities change every 4 months By completing the various challenges throughout the app, you get points. These points are transferred to the "Point-budget" of the chosen charity. During the 4 months that charity gets $10,000 from IBM, whose supporters get the most points   Why charities? Today’s generation is more open and cares about its environment. They grew up with climate change, various terror attacks and thanks to the internet, they know about the situation in the third world countries, so they value social responsibility more. They want to act and to help, so they might be more compelled to do the challenges, if it is for a good cause.

6 5 STEP 2 Plug Off!

7 6 STEP 2 The first challenge is to Plug Off! This means that you cannot use your phone for a given time, raging from 10 minutes to 4 hours, otherwise you lose the Challenge and instead of gaining points, you lose some By doing the Plug Off! Challenges you not only earn money for your charity, but you also unlock Secret Challenges, which are worth more points

8 7 STEP 3 Secret Challenge

9 8 STEP 3 Inside the Secret Challenges you have to complete exercises e.g. go on a picnic, volunteer in a local charity or go on a walk in the forest You can earn more points with Secret Challenges, than with Plug off challenges The nearest possible locations to complete the Challenge should be displayed inside the app To prove you participated, you have to upload a photo and you can also share it on social media for extra points

10 9 STEP 4 Community Challenge

11 10 STEP 4 Community Challenges are designed to connect people in the area These Challenges are worth more points if completed There is one Community Challenge per month. These mean that every user is provided the usernames that are active in the area. The app offers them 3 options as a program to organize, e.g. going for a walk together with everyone’s dog. Every month 3 new program possibility is offered up by the program. A photo should be uploaded as proof and every participator has to be tagged

13 12 STEP +1 Every month a winner is selected
The criteria of selection: the most points in the month Levels of points should be set up as well. If someone reaches the highest category 3 times in a row, they can be rewarded as well

15 14 MARKETING Key factor – the app has to reach a lot of users (both national and international) Methods: social media (FacebookAdverts) GoogleAds (+ designed Search Engine Management) „Online-Word-of-Mouth” – program offers more points for sharing the Challenge-photos on social media Scope: youth worldwide

16 15 APP CREATION The charities: part of the CSR budget of IBM should be allocated here Cost: $100k - $300k -> most up-to-date data: $140k1 (According to my research - see in reference1,2) Time: 3 – 6 month1
