Support slide Germination Do seeds need light to germinate? Put equal numbers of cress seeds in 2 dishes on cotton wool. Water each dish with the same amount of liquid. Place one of the dishes in a dark room and one near the window. It is important that they are both the same temperatures to make this a fair test.
