7 Home of Ibex Ibex is a large specie of wild goat that is found in central Pakistan, Kashmir State , Southern Tajikistan, Southern Uzbekistan and in the Himalayas.

8 History The range of the ibex has historically extended from Turkmenistan to Pakistan. Currently its distribution runs from the mountains north of the Amur Darya River in Turkmenistan, east through Afghanistan and Pakistan.

9 Habitat The ibex prefers arid Cliffside habitats in sparsely wooded mountainous regions as well as the Middle Asian Mountains Temperate Forests. Ibex tries to avoid deep snow.

10 Climate The Nubian ibex has a special way to deal with the hot, dry climates of the African and Arabian mountains: Their shiny coats reflect sunlight and keep them cool.

11 Significance Ibex horns are in demand for traditional Asian medicine.

16 Where They Live The scientific name for the Bengal Tiger is Panther Tigress. The Bengal Tiger is a mammal. The Bengal Tiger lives in South China, Sumatran and Siberia.

17 History The Bengal Tiger was first discovered in the Bengal region of India. The first White Bengal Tiger wasn’t found until five years after that when a tiger wandered into a village and was killed. A little bit after that she had three babies. Two regular and one that was white.

18 Habitat Bengal Tigers are only found in India and in zoo.
If they are wild then they are found in jungles, forests, and swampy areas.

19 Climate Bengal tigers like the constant shade that the forest floor guarantees with the understory’s leaves leaving tigers cool.

20 Significance Poaching has become a lucrative profession in many areas. Most of the products are sold in China.

21 Young The Bengal Tiger has a litter of 3-4 cubs.
Cubs follow their mother out of the den at around 8 weeks and become independent at around 18 months of age. They leave their mothers at about 2 ½ years.
