In 5D we have learnt all about allotments and how they work this piece of writing is all about allotments in March and hopefully by the end of this you will now all about the plants grown in march and how to look after them. By Raheem and Francesca

2 Plants that can be grown in March
Here is a list of some plants that can be grown in March: Peas Beans Cabbages Lettuce Sprouts Summer cabbage Broccoli Onions Leeks Plus lots more including potatoes that need to be planted at the start of the month. In March the days are longer which is good because sunlight helps the plants to grow. Here is a picture of plants that can be grown in March

3 What is good about owning an allotment
Allotments are good to grow flowers fruits and vegetables especially In March. Also food that you have grown at home is better quality than the food you get from shops because they have no chemicals on them. You can buy a plot of an allotment and grow your own plants on it they need lots of water and sunlight for the plants to grow. It attracts wildlife which mostly helps flowers to grow but can help vegetables. When it gets near to the end of March prune the flowers and pick the vegetables and prepare for next year.
