1 Benefits to Work Jobcentre Plus offers a range of services to help people into work: Work Clubs - encouraging people who are out of work to exchange skills and share experiences, so that they can find employment; Work Together - developing work skills through volunteering ; Work experience - helping people gain insight into the world of work New Enterprise Allowance - supporting unemployed people who wish to move off benefits into self-employment; Enterprise Clubs - a way of encouraging people who are out of work to exchange skills, share experience, and work through their business ideas; and sector-based work academies – comprising of pre-employment training, work experience placements and guaranteed job interviews Help your families make progress towards work, contact Claire Winterton on for further info Universal Jobmatch is available to all people looking for work. It enables Jobseekers to: Create a personalised account which allows them to upload their CV and profile and cover letter, or help them to create one Receive on-going job matches to their profile Record any details about other job searches they do so that all their job search activity is held in one place Help families find a job with: Universal Jobmatch Apprenticeships give claimants an opportunity to work for a real employer, earn a salary and gain a qualification whilst gaining valuable workplace skills and experience. Anyone living in England, over 16 years old and not in full-time education can apply to be an apprentice. Find out more at: Free Childcare……… Places are available for eligible 2 year olds. Accessing these places gives claimants: A chance to volunteer to take up training or employment; Improve early education for their child; Chance for child to interact with other children and build confidence Apply for it at: Free Childcare Apprenticeships Volunteering is a great way to learn and develop new skills whilst looking for a job and could even increase claimants’ chances of finding work. There are no limits on the amount of time claimants can volunteer for, provided that they continue to meet the conditions of the benefit or tax credit they are getting.
