All refurbishments over £150,000 will assessed to SKA HE Gold Refurbishments under £150,000 will be in line with SKA methodology New Buildings from achieved BREEAM Excellent All new buildings will work towards similar methodology A-rated EPC

11 Go Green Champion Main Purpose of Role:
To assist in championing the University’s environment and sustainability agenda. To educate, energise and engage with staff and students about the environment and sustainability agenda. To identify opportunities for the University to improve its sustainability performance. Key Duties: To raise awareness amongst staff, students and visitors about sustainability. To communicate and advise good environmental practice to staff and students. To help organise and/or participate in sustainability events and initiatives. To represent their department / area as required, for example in completing the Go Green Awards workbook.

19 Survey Review – 87.3% of staff know there is a Sustainability Team compared to only 57.5% in 2013 67.2% staff feel the University is excellent or good on its recycling initiatives 31.7% of staff feel that the University takes sustainability issues very seriously compared to 24.6% in 2013 58.3% of staff have heard and like Kitty the Kestrel, the Sustainability Team’s mascot; however, 32% did not know about the mascot
