THE ENHANCED LOGISTICS FUNCTION
As we move to a disaggregated Category Tower structure, the Future Operating Model will be supported an expanded logistics infrastructure, superseding the current service while maintaining continuity of service. Logistics is one of the key enabling services for the success of the FOM. The enhanced logistics service will operate in as seamless a way as possible, with behind-the-scenes changes being invisible to customers. We are looking to engage one provider for the both core logistics services and the Home Delivery Service
5
THE ENHANC£D LOGISTICS FUNCTION
Under the enhanced logistics service, customers will benefit from… less fragmentation of deliveries, fewer vehicle unloads, and greater consolidated invoicing when they buy via Supply Chain continued pick-to-ward level ordering home delivery service as appropriate No disruption during transition

HOME DELIVERY SERVICES
‘Home Delivery Services’ (HDS) is the service for the delivery of continence products to residential homes, care homes and domestic premises. There are currently 250,000 users of this service. Under the FOM logistics service: HDS will continue and will potentially be expended. There is considerable scope for other products to be supplied through this service, particularly as NHS organisations and local councils develop shared services in their Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships. HDS will be an integral part of the broader logistics offering under the ICC umbrella.
