Up until that time, some communitys attempted to discriminate agains black people and members of other minority group. They requird voters to take written tests or pay special taxes four the write to vote The Voting Rights Act of 1965 put an end to voter discrimination. On August 7th that year, the U.S. satellite Explorer VI transmited the first picture of Earth from space. Two year later, the first human got to seen that view when Russia send a man into space. A few week after that russian space flight, Alan Shepard become the first U.S. astronaut in space.
