1 Monday Bell Ringer (ODD)
Read a book if you do not have any revisions or incomplete work. Zoo essay should be turned in. **Have your remediation block paper on your desk. 1. Have a pencil ready for the day. 2. Have a book ready for the bell ringer.

2 VLT Writing #2 Argumentative Summative – 90 minutes
1. Read the prompt 2. Read and mark the sources 3. Plan using a chicken foot or some other organizer. This should be quick! 4. Write your essay. Remember to I.C.E. each paragraph! 5. Reread your work and make any necessary corrections. Check for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and repeating or missing words. Leave on your desk for me to collect. Make sure your name is on all papers. Work on incomplete work or read a book when done. If your work is done you may continue working on the zoo brochure instead of reading. Zoo essay should be turned in!

1. Read about the countries and holidays around the world. This is NOT your copy. Please do not write on it! You will take notes on 3 countries that you will write an informative essay about. 2. After you have read about all the countries and have taken notes on 3 countries of your choice, you will begin your essay. Write a 5 paragraph essay about the countries around the world and the holidays they celebrate. If you are not allowed to celebrate holidays then only write about the countries. 3. Work on incomplete work or read a book. If needed, revise your VLT.
