3 Comparing ‘home made’ to ‘processed’ foods.
I can list a pro and con to processed meat. I have completed a sensory analysis of the chicken nuggets. I can list a few pro’s and con’s to processed meat. I understand the homemade method of making chicken nuggets and I understand the function of the egg. I have completed my sensory analysis. I can understand the pro’s and con’s to processed meat. 5 Process for Vegetarian Nuggets
Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees c or gas mark 6. Collect green chopping board, vegetable knife, baking tray, 3 small bowls Fill a saucepan half way with water and put on the hob and bring to a boil. Peel and dice vegetables and place carefully in hot water. Leave for 15 mins and drain with a colander and then mash adding butter and cheese. Put breadcrumbs into a bowl Put flour into a bowl Whisk egg in a bowl. Dip shaped vegetables first in flour then egg and lastly breadcrumbs. Put nuggets on a baking tray and cook for 20 minutes. Check nuggets are cooked Wash up thoroughly.

6 Process for Chicken Nuggets
Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees c or gas mark 6. Collect mixing bowl, red chopping board, red handled knife, baking tray, 3 small bowls Put breadcrumbs into a bowl Put flour into a bowl Whisk egg in a bowl Slice chicken on a red board into nugget sized pieces. Dip chicken first in flour then egg and lastly breadcrumbs. Put nuggets on a baking tray and cook for 20 minutes. Check nuggets are cooked Wash hands after touching raw meat Wash up thoroughly.

7 Remember High risk! Cook meat to 75°C for 15 seconds.
Do not cross contaminate foods. E.g. raw and cooked meat. Avoid salmonella! Wash your hands after touching raw meat and raw egg. Cook meat to 75°C for 15 seconds.

8 Sensory Analysis Complete a sensory analysis of home made and shop bought chicken nuggets.
