How many percentage of Deaf people have hearing parents? American Sign Language is related to what language? What face expression do you use when you ask Wh-questions? What is the best method to pick up ASL? How do you get a Deaf person’s attention?

9 What is the best method to pick up ASL faster?
There are many ways you can do to pick up ASL faster, but the BEST method is: Attend to Deaf events and/or hanging out with a Deaf person WHY? Because you can see and learn the signs from them by getting involved .

10 How do you get a Deaf person’s attention?
1. Tap him/her on the shoulder (if he/she is close to you) 2. Wave your hands to him/her (if he/she is far away from you. 3. You can stomp your foot on the ground but GENTLY and IF he/she didn’t see your waving hands. **Not all Deaf people like foot stomps, especially hard** 4. Get someone’s attention then have him/her get a Deaf person’s attention.

11 How many percentage of Deaf people have hearing parents?
90% of Deaf people are born to hearing parents with little or no experience of deafness or knowledge of how to communicate with a deaf person. Only 10% of Deaf people are born to Deaf parents.

12 Please practice this with your partner.
1. One of you will ask (sign) ALL questions, and your partner must sign the answers (you respond) 2. Then, switch and repeat. 3. Then, switch partners when you’re finished (Make sure you raise your hand so I know you’re finished).

13 Where are you? What class is this? Who are you? You get here how? Her name what? Your favorite color what? Your birthday when? When Do I fingerspell? Who is your teacher? Meeting a deaf person for the 1st time.~ What do I do? Add-on to your conversations by asking more questions out of your head.
