INTRODUCTION Transportation is one of the most important infrastructure requirements, which is essential for the expansion of opportunities and plays an important role in making or breaking of the economy. With the changing economic scenario, factors such as globalization of markets, international economic integration, and removal of barriers to business and increased competitive have enhanced the need of transportation.

COMPONENTS USED ULTRASONIC SENSORS. MICROCONTROLLER. MOTOR CONTROLLER.
LCD.

ULTRASONIC SENSORS Ultrasonic sensors (also known as tranceivers when they both send and receive) work on a principle similar to radar or sonar which evaluate attributes of a target by interpreting the echoes from radio or sound waves respectively. Ultrasonic sensors generate high frequency sound waves and evaluate the echo which is received back by the sensor. Sensors calculate the time interval between sending the signal and receiving the echo to determine the distance to an object. This technology can be used for measuring: wind speed and direction (anemometer), fullness of a tank and speed through air or water.

MOTOR CONTROLLER: The motor controller is a H-Bridge device with inbuilt MOSFET and feedback control device which is used to drive the DC motor for the combination of the input given by the microcontroller LCD LCD used is 16X2 with 8bit data operation used to display the message sent by the microcontroller for the visual information and this LCD is equipped with backlight. MOTOR When it comes to speed, weight, size, cost. DC motors are always preferred over stepper motors. There are many things which you can do with your DC motor when interfaced with a microcontroller. For example you can control the speed of motor, you can control the direction of rotation, you can also do encoding of the rotation made by DC motor i.e. keeping track of how many turns are made by your motors etc.

ADVANTAGES Safety & reducing the risk of accidents
ADVANTAGES Safety & reducing the risk of accidents. The microcontroller used is user friendly, cost effective and high reliable The circuit is compact. Involves very less number of components.   DISADVANTAGES High cost

APPLICATION 1. Collision avoidances 2.Ship navigation 3.Railway system

RESULTS The system was set as per the requirement .the distance between the two automotive were set to a safe value. The movement of the automotive was properly sensed by the sensor The LCD indication wherever required was obtained The satisfactory result was obtained

CONCLUSIONS With the implementation of the present work it is possible to avoid the collision between the obstacles and the vehicles. Thus we can provide the safety for driver and the passengers in the vehicle and also we can minimize the damage to the vehicle

THANK YOU…
